Me My Suit & Tie Collaboration: Dandi Patch

Ok, so at the risk of sounding like a completely smug git,  I have managed to amass quite an impressive formal collection (mental note - stop staring conversations like this).  In the left side of my wardrobe, a vast array of suits, blazers waistcoats and trousers hang, organised by colour and material of course. And, in the right side, I hang up my shirts. Now, if you were to break into my house, creep past my useless “guard” dog, unbolt my bedroom door (don’t ask) and peer into my wardrobe you’d probably notice that whilst the left side is bursting with colour, the right is….. not. I seem to have suits in almost every colour imaginable, yet my shirt collection is almost totally white. Now, I appreciate that this is not completely unusual or surprising. Indeed, I would imagine that you would be somewhat underwhelmed after making such an effort to sneak into my bedroom at 2 am. But let me explain why up until recently my shirt collection has been as bland as my aunties sugar/carb/lacto/wheat free diet.

You see I am a fairly healthy 30 something-year-old guy with an active lifestyle.  I am often running from here to there for photoshoots or meeting with people who think they are very important. Indeed, you can often find me running down the escalators at Waterloo or chasing after a bus at Victoria (it would seem my time management needs refining). And with all of this rushing around, I can really work up a sweat, which (unfortunately) isn’t appreciated by those ‘important’ people.

Because of this and many other physical activities I find myself facing daily in the capital, I have taken to wearing almost solely white shirts to minimize embarrassing sweat marks. A blue or grey shirt for example will reveal moisture as impressively as a magician pulling a rabbit from a hat (just without the visit from the RSPCA).

However, I think I may have found the answer to all of my sweaty problems and that is the dandi® patch.

.

What is dandi patch?

dandi® patch is a new, advanced type of sweat pad. And apparently, It is here to revolutionise the way that we all treat sweat.

Basically, the dandi® patch is a thin, discreet underarm patch that adheres to the skin. It holds up to 2,000 times the average amount of underarm sweat, traps in armpit odour, prevents embarrassing sweat marks and stops horrible yellow staining.

Which means I can now wear whatever colour shirt I want, without it looking like Niagra Falls is trying to escape from my armpits.

Directions of use

dandi® patch works much like a plaster and can be applied in a simple four-step process:

  1. Wash, dry and trim armpits thoroughly. Do not apply to freshly-razored skin. Standing in a mirror will help application.

  2.  Remove from the outer envelope and carefully peel back the outer layer to reveal the sticky side.

  3. Press the adhesive to the armpit firmly, ensure the wide end is at the top and the pointed end at the bottom. The patches are ergonomically designed to fit your sweat gland shape.

  4. Peel off the paper backing to ensure the patch is flexible. Press against the skin to ensure the patch is in place.
